Kelvin Lim began photographing full-time in 2001, shooting weddings and bridal portraits for a well-known studio. He soon became one of the most popular wedding photographers in Singapore.
In 2006, Kelvin started his own studio, Portraits, because he didn't want to die tomorrow as just another photographer, shooting images to please the crowd. He finds happiness when given the freedom to create and speak his own language.
Kelvin's images are driven by strong fundamentals - lighting, composition and composure. He appreciates the technical advantages of digital photography, but shoots as much as possible on film - his preferred medium. He experimented with digital painting, but ultimately went back to acrylics and brushes.
Kelvin loves running, scuba-diving, and alternative music. In his free time, he would draw, paint, and take a walk by the trees.
